Choose a polo for the job

Start with how the polo will be worn. A customer-facing retail or office team may want a coordinated colour and a consistent collar, while tradespeople may prioritise an easy-care fabric and a fit that allows movement. Compare each supplier specification for fabric composition, weight, care instructions and size availability.

Check the measurements for the actual style, including different men’s, women’s and unisex fits. Size names can vary between brands. Agree the wearer list before embroidery and discuss a plain garment first if the team is uncertain about fit.

Chest logo size and placement

Left breast is a common starting position for a company logo; right breast is available on supported styles. A reference width up to 90 mm helps keep a compact design, but the finished height depends on the artwork. Very fine lettering can need simplification rather than a smaller version of the whole logo.

Pocket edges, seams and fabric texture can affect placement. Use the picture selector to describe the position, then check the production proof for the final size, thread colours and exact wording.

Understand the embroidery estimate

Standard chest text or logo is estimated at £5 ex VAT per application; a football style badge is estimated at £7.50 ex VAT at the reference size. The polo and delivery are separate, and detailed artwork needs stitch and suitability review.

New embroidery setup is £25 excluding VAT (£30 including VAT) per artwork, position and finished size. The same approved specification across garments is counted once. A chest logo and a back logo need separate setups. Setup is waived only when clothing and branding after discounts exceed £395, excluding VAT, delivery and setup; exactly £395 does not qualify. Reusing an existing production file needs staff approval.

Build a consistent repeat uniform

Mix sizes and colours within the same style, with quantity totals combined for garment pricing. For staff who need an extra layer, coordinate the polo with suitable embroidered hoodies or fleeces. Identical logo, position and finished-size specifications share one setup within the order.

Save the garment code, colour and approved embroidery instructions for reorders. Current availability and prices are checked again; a saved draft does not reserve the original style.

Choose a garment, add the quantities for each size and colour, then continue to logos. Tap the Print or Embroidery picture, choose a supported position and upload a PNG, JPG or PDF up to 5 MB. You can type a company name, use saved artwork or send the logo later. Standard sizes provide a starting point; special sizes and colour instructions can be added. Review the clothing, logo applications, setup, delivery and VAT before saving your draft.

Plain items have a 30-day change-of-mind return policy. Items personalised with your logo, printing or embroidery cannot be returned for a change of mind. Your rights for faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods are unaffected.
